Linus Tech did a review on this machine, it has the look and feel of a MacBook Pro, so I wonder if it will be a contender for installing macOS on it without too much hassle?

i'm trying to find a compatible card for my hp probook 4540s. I use a dual band router at home and i want the card to take advantage of the 5ghz band. Also i want bluetooth 4.0 on the same card so i don't have to have a usb adapter. In the future i would like to use the hand off feature in os x Yosemite.

So I have been using my usb wifi and my usb bluetooth on my 1600 euro laptop only because I was lazy to get a real card the laptop originally came with qualcomm atheros qca61x4a horrible I know even Bluetooth docent work on this stupid card anyway I did order one great card that I read is great. The card did arrive today after two weeks of pain finally came but for my surplice it was not the right card I ordered Broadcom BCM94352HMB/BCM94352 .. It was two big and I have no solution...

I am looking for a laptop under $500 that are compatible to mac osx with least upgrades without bugs and lags..it would be preferable if you can provide a list of required upgrades and cost for those of us who can't afford much but are looking forward to experience mac operating system..

Hi I have a laptop the HP Envy 15-j121tx and I was wondering if it was Hackintosh compatible I think the specs are:
- Core i5 4200M
- Intel HD Graphics 4600

As the title suggests I'm thinking of buying a touch laptop that will work well with OSX. The primary reason is to use it with a recording interface running mainstage so I can easily control things while performing live.

I've seen a couple proof of concept-esk videos on youtube with varying levels of performance: accuracy, multi-touch, gestures etc, so I can only assume that has something to do with touch hardware compatibility and/or aftermarket software (mac touchpad emulation or better...

Hi All,

1st-time poster, but long-time lurker and both Mac/PC user.

I want to build a hackintosh lappy for my daughter - she's been using my old Unibody MBP and it's finally gone to the scrapheap in the sky!
All she does is a basic web surfing and Word, possibly a little basic video stuff. Nothing taxing at all.

Now she *could* just get a Win10 Laptop, (I've got a Win10 gaming rig and the really like it, but I use Mac for my work) - she's only really used OSX......

So I thought about...

Today, Xiaomi announced its competitor to the MacBook Pro, the Mi Notebook Pro. It features 8th gen (Coffee Lake) CPUs, 8/16GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM, GeForce MX150 graphics (I hope not optimus), 1080p display, two USB A ports, two USB C ports, one HDMI, SD card slot and...headphone jack! What do you think of it? It would be great if someone manages to run macOS once it supports Coffee Lake (I'm pretty sure you can spoof the IGPU as Kaby Lake though).

Hello there!

My laptop won't wake up from sleep, if it was booted on battery (without AC cable attached) - making some noise after keypress, but no any sings of life (LED sleep indicator shows that it is in sleep mode, and I have fixed it, yes).
When booted with AC cable attached, sleep works almost fine.

I tried everything I could, but no luck. Maybe, you can help me a little bit?

I have a laptop with Intel HD Graphics 630 for the iGPU and a NVIDIA GTX 1060 for the dGPU. My laptop's screen is wired to the iGPU, and my HDMI port is wired to my dGPU. My HDMI port allows for GSync if I had a monitor for it.
